Platelet Rich Plasma ( PRP):

PRP is a minimally invasive method used to rejuvenate skin, regrow hair, and accelerate wound healing.  In our method, the patients' own blood (not someone else’s blood) is drawn then treated in a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood. This PRP contains around 50 different stimulating factors that trigger the regeneration and regrowth of tissue. This powerful substance has been used in orthopedic surgery for many years. It's use in the cosmetic field has produced astonishing results in regeneration and rejuvenation.

HAIR GROWTH AND RESTORATION:

PRP promotes hair growth.  It also strengthens and maintains  pre-existing hair.  After the PRP is obtained it is injected underneath the skin of the scalp where  hair loss has started. This is  to rejuvenate the hair follicles promoting thicker, longer and healthier hair.  For hair restoration three to six sessions are recommended with six sessions being ideal. Injections are done every six weeks.  This is because hair follicles have 3 phases: growth, transitional and resting.  Gradually,  the hair growth increases and new hair becomes visible as depicted in the following photos.

FACIAL SKIN REJUVENATION:

To maximize the effect of skin rejuvenation we combine Microneedling with PRP.  Microneedling is a device that creates micro punctures and micro trauma to the anesthetized skin. Because the patient’s own blood is injected into the face after Microneedling the regenerative effect is powerfully multiplied. The result is tighter, smoother and healthier skin - all triggered by the patient’s own blood. In many institutions the PRP is simply rubbed over the skin after the micro needling which only allows a  very small amount to penetrate the skin with very little effect compared to 10 to 12 ML of PRP injected under the skin.  The rejuvenation result becomes visible after only a few days. PRP not only promotes rejuvenation of the skin by increasing collagen and elastic tissue it also has a filling effect by promoting new growth of fat cells just like a young face. Part of the  aging process of the face is the loss of fat volume and the loss of elasticity which creates skin that is sunken and sagging. PRP helps reverse both of these factors by regenerating fat and increasing elasticity and thickness of the skin. This treatment is done on an outpatient basis and takes less than hour.

WOUND HEALING:

The regenerative power of PRP is so amazing that it can heal and promote healing in damaged tissue.

Here we have a great example of a finger traumatized by surgery. After six months of non-healing bruising and deteriorating skin, a solution of PRP was injected into the traumatized area and within just 10 days the chronic condition starts reversing.  This example visibly shows the amazing power of PRP in the healthy regeneration of the tissue. The incredible restorative and healing power of PRP is visibly undeniable. Bruises dissolving and healthier skin regenerating.
